Life in the Peloton
Hosted by Mitch Docker
Have you ever wondered what the life of a professional cyclist looks like? Australian ex-professional cyclist Mitch Docker takes you into the world of professional cycling. He brings you the stories behind the people in the sport – from the riders in the peloton to the team staff, commentators, and cycling legends – and also shares insights on training and reflections on the major races throughout the year. Now that he has just retired from his career as a professional rider, Mitch is exploring new pelotons – all the pelotons outside of the WorldTour – and bringing fresh stories from the cycling community. In his spin-off series Talking Luft – a bit like the extras on a DVD – cycling style and culture are at the forefront. Think of race caps, bikes, clothing, coffee stops, training rides, and everything that makes cycling so beautiful.

As Southam predicted, it has just been non-stop racing every day. In fact, it’s been so hard that Durbo’s decided to bank some extra hours in bed rather than join Tom and me for this special episode of The Race Communiqué!

That’s right, it's the first rest day of the Tour, and I wanted to take advantage of our man on the gr
